Education
We are based in Kisumu, the largest town in Western Kenya. Our project involves reducing drop out rates among university students in their region. The city has a lot of people who live below the poverty line and most of the students who drop out, do so because of financial constraints. The ripple effect of this is that they end up engaging in dangerous activities such as crime and drugs.
We dove deeper into understanding this system and identifying the appropriate leverage points so that the proposed interventions can be effective. Through this program we found our solution to this social problem evolving to the needs that our analysis highlighted.
